Headshots for a photographer
She can see beauty in the tiny things. A single petal caught in the lens of her camera opens up its own world and reveals its secrets.
She doesn't turn flowers into art. She works in harmony with nature, transforming one art form into another.
I was very excited when Jane van Bostelen contacted me to get new pictures of her. The galleries where she exhibits her artworks often ask to provide a portrait of the artist. So the pictures werenโt meant to be just headshots. We started in Jane's small studio where the magic happens and then moved to another room for portraits. I wanted to portray Jane as a creative, elegant and inspiring woman. Of course, with a camera in the frame! And with flowers. I have tried to capture this subtle connection between the artist and nature. They understand one another. They respect one another. And personally - I love this!
